EN | Hey Lovelies und welcome to part 2 of my Fashion Week Berlin Diary. The second Fashion Week day was amazing and so much fun. And it really shows me why I love fashion so much and that I really want to attend more runway shows in the future. But let me tell you everything in more detail:
DE | Hallo ihr Lieben und willkommen zum Part 2 meines Fashion Week Berlin Diary’s. Der zweite Tag auf der Fashion Week war extrem spannend und hat mir nochmal vor Augen geführt wieso ich Mode einfach so sehr liebe und in Zukunft noch zu viel mehr Laufstegshows gehen möchte. Aber lasst mich euch alles mehr im Detail erzählen:
EN | Hey Lovelies! As you might know I’ve been to the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin last week. And it literally was so much fun. I actually don’t want this post to be too long so I decided to split this Fashion Week Diary into two parts. The second part will be online soon as well. But let’s start with Part 1:
I actually wanted to upload this post a lot earlier but my laptop died on Monday. 2016 went by so quickly and so much happend. I still can’t believe that I’ve been to New York. To the city of my dreams. So today I want to share my favorite outfits and my favorite moments of 2016 with you. So let’s go:
Today I have something completely different for you here on my blog. As you can obviously see it’s a little Follow Me Around Video from New York. I actually don’t want to say to much, just enjoy the video!
Please let me know what you think about this whole video and FMA stuff! And also let me know if you would like to see more videos about my future travel destinations. I personally thought that this is a great variety to the written posts about New York. Especially a little addition to my New York Travel Diary where I tell you everything about the best places around town (you can find it here, if you haven’t seen it already). Continue reading →
Happy Friday everyone! Today I finally have my New York Travel Diary for you! As you probably all know (because I already uploaded a few posts from the city) I’ve been to New York at the beginning of September and I absolutely love this city! So this post will be all about my favorite places around town. About where to go, eat/drink/snack, sleep and shop. Because the post is already quite long let’s start directly with my list, so here we go:
One World Observatory
Things to do:
– Brooklyn Bridge Park (& Brooklyn Bridge): Probably one of my favorite places. You have an amazing view at the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Skyline. You can also sit there so you can pick up some food or a snack or something to drink before you sit there and enjoy the view. Also walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, but make sure that it’s quite early otherwise the Bridge is full of tourists. (Brooklyn Bridge Park Homepage)
– High Line Park: The High Line is an old freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side, where plants and flowers are growing now. So it’s really nice to take a relaxing walk there. (High Line Park Homepage)
– Staten Island Ferry: The Staten Island Ferry is free so it doesn’t cost you a penny. Also the view from the Ferry is really nice and you past the Stature of Liberty. (Staten Island Ferry Homepage)
– Circle Line: At the Pier 83. I have to say that the view at the Circle Line Cruise is definitely more beautiful than at the Staten Island Ferry. So if you don’t care about paying something I would recommend this Cruise more. (Circle Line Cruise Homepage )
– Greenwich Village: Probably my absolute favorite district in Manhattan. There are so many cute shops and restaurant and also some rooftop gardens. It’s just really nice to walk around there.
– Jefferson Market Garden: While you’re walking through Greenwich Village you should definitely make a stop at the Jefferson Market Garden. Adress: 70A Greenwich Village, opening is weather permitted, opening times: 10 AM to dusk every day, expect Mondays. (Jefferson Market Garden Homepage)
– Dumbo: is short for Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass and is a part of Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Bridge Park is also located here and the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. Also there are everywhere super cute shops and cafés.
– Top of The Rock: At the Rockefeller Center. It’s typically touristic but the view is breathtaking. Address: 45 Rockefeller Plaza
– One World Observatory: Also a typical touristic attraction. But the view over the city is insane.
– Grand Central Terminal: I think everyone knows this place from movies and series and it’s definitely worth a visit. Address: 89E 42nd Street
EN| Hey Lovelies and happy Saturday! I hope your week and start into the weekend was great. I’m working on a New York Travel Diary or Guide with all the best places in New York and tips where to go, eat and shop right now. Obviously these are just my tips and my favorite places in the City, but I think there are also some insider tipps in my guide. So stay tuned. I think it will be online next Wednesday.
But I’ve taken so many pictures in New York I already want to share some of them with you today. The first one is taken on the Rockefeller Center, from the Top of the Rock. And even though this is such a touristic place the view is so amazing. The second picture is taken on an early morning on 5th Avenue. Also some other pictures are from the Brooklyn Bridge and also the Manhattan Bridge. And looking at these pictures make me want to go back immediately. New York is such a beautiful city. I’m going to tell you more about my trip their in my Travel Diary. But for now enjoy the pictures and let me know what you think about them! Continue reading →
EN | Happy Friday everyone! I’m finally done with all my exams and I’m so freaking happy about it. And it’s also perfect timing because it seems like the summer is back here in Germany. As I already told you in my last blogpost this one will be all about the FashionBloggerCafé and the GDS shoe and accessory exhibition in Düsseldorf. Some of you may have seen that day already on my Snapchat. If you’re not following me there, you can find me under the username jeannee_r. I already have shown you my outfit for that day in my last post, if you haven’t seen it yet, you can check it out here. So this post will be all about the exhibition and the FashionBloggerCafé in general.
The top shoe trends were definitely Metallic and Plateau. Personally I’m not the biggest Fan of the Plateau Trend, but really like the Metallic one. So I would love to hear about what you think about both trends? I’m curious to hear your opinion about it. In addition pastels, fringe and pompoms where also everywhere and seems to be still a big trend.
Moving on to the FashionBloggerCafé shoedition. I live 3 hours away from Düsseldorf so I sadly missed the first Catwalk show. But we came right in time to watch the Pop Up Fashion Show, which was really amazing. Also there were quite a few companies like Artdeco, Espadrij, Lillet, Mulinu and Illy Café to talk to. It was really interesting to get to know more about Espadrij and Artdeco. We also could choose some shoes from Espadrij which was pretty amazing as well. And I can tell you these shoes are so freaking comfortable. Continue reading →
EN | Happy Monday Lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I’m pretty sure some of you have seen my Berlin Fashion Week adventure on my Snapchat. You can follow me there if you want to (my username is: jeannee_r). Also I want to share my little MBFW Berlin adventure with you here on my blog. That’s why I have a little MBFW Berlin Diary for you today.
We arrived at Tuesday in Berlin for our first Fashion Week day and went straight off to the FashionBloggerCafé at the Bikini Berlin. It was nice to talk to all the brands that were there, for example Yves Rocher. There was also some nice food and a huge goodie bag. Even though it’s my second time at the MBFWB I’m still impressed about the among of things that are in all the goodie bags. Afterwards the FashionBloggerCafé we need to hurry a bit and get ready for the Lascana Show and After Show Party which was also at the Bikini Berlin. I’m super sorry for the bad pictures from the Lascana Show, but I didn’t want to take my big camera with me. I personally really like the underwear collection that was presented. The underwear collection was definitely dominated by pastel and lace. However I have to say that the swimwear collection wasn’t totally my thing. Also there were to many people at the Show and just a few seats for the Press and Prominence. So it was not so easy to really see everything of the show. Thankfully their was a nice lady who let me stand in front of her so that I had a good view (short girl problems, you know). The day ended really nice with the Lascana After Show party and a few Cocktails.
Our Wednesday started with a little Shopping trip to the Mall of Berlin (I actually found two amazing pieces at sale) and a dinner at Spreegold. Afterwards we got ready for the HashMAG Blogger Lounge. We got to know some brands like Clockhouse and Kapten&Son better at the event. As you all know I’m a huge fan of Kapten&Son, so it was really interesting to get to know more about the brand. Also we could try out many different flavors of Jelly Belly’s and eat some Ice from Lycka. The HashMAG Blogger Lounge was definitely my favorite event this Fashion Week season and the goodie bag was amazing as well. In the evening we also went to a little Cocktail Event from Hallhuber.
On Thursday we had to go home but before that we also stopped again at the HashMAG Blogger Lounge on our way, because we really wanted to eat the crepes there and meet up with some people we met the day before. All in all we had a really great Berlin Fashion Week. So this was my little Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin Diary. Do you like these kind of Diaries? And have you also been to the MBFWB this season? Continue reading →
EN | Hey lovelies! So happy that you stopped by at my blog. Before I continue with my fashion week posts (so excited to show you all my outfits!) I have one last post from London for you. As you all already know I was in London in June with one of my best friends. So today I want to share some pictures and experiences in a ‘London Travel Diary’ with you.
But before I start telling you what we did in London I want to give you some tips. If you also just stay a few days in London I highly recommend to buy a 1 Day Travel ticket for the underground and bus everyday (it’s around 12 Pound). I also recommend you to use the busses as often as possible. It’s a great way to see a lot of the city and also to come to your destination.
Our flight was early on a Friday morning from Bremen to London Stansted Airport. The first thing we did in London was driving to Covent Garden with the bus (so beautiful there!) and ate Burgers hat Shake Shack. They were good but definitely not the best I’ve eaten. Afterwards we did some touristic stuff like going to the Buckingham Palace. After the check in at the hostel we finally could change clothes and drove to Notting Hill. It’s so cute and we also shoot an outfit there, which you’ve already seen here. We ended the day with a walk through Kensington Garden and the Hyde Park. And I could definitely recommend that as well.
The second day started with a typical English Breakfast and some little Cupcakes from Lola’s (go and grab some cupcakes there, so delicious!!!). The day was also packed with a lot of touristic stuff like Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Piccadilly Circus and a little bit of shopping at Topshop.
Our last day started with a walk to the Tower Bridge which was the location for my last look from London, that you’ve also already seen here. Then we went to Harrods and afterwards to the Wembley Arena and the Outlet there. I have to say that I’m not the biggest Outlet fan and this one was also not one where I would say that you find amazing clothes. My highlight of the day was definitely the Camden Food Market. Most delicious food I ate in London, so if you’re in London definitely go there and grab some food. Afterwards we went shopping at the Carnaby Street and had a really stressful night. Our flight was early in the morning and there is no way to get from London to the Stansted Airport at nighttime. So we had to take the last bus at midnight to the airport and stayed there all night. If you also drive with the Stansted Express (busses) make sure to find the bus stop early! It’s not as easy as it sounds.
All in all was the trip amazing and I’m even more in love with London than I was before. Have you also been to London and what was your favorite place there? My favorite places were definitely the Camden Food Market, Notting Hill and all the lovely parks. Continue reading →
Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you all had a great week so far. As I already told you in my last post (where you can see my outfit for the evening) I went to the HashMAG Blogger Look of the Year Award in Hamburg last week. So I decided to share some pictures with you today. If you follow me on Snapchat (jeannee_r) you’ve already seen some pictures and videos from the event. The main reason for the event was the Blogger Look of the Year Award with a Fashion Show with all the winners of the awards. It also was the first HashMAG Blogger Look of the Year Award ever, so I was super happy to be part of it.
The Fashion show and Award startet after a nice reception with sparkling wine. The award was grant in the categories evening, business, sporty, beachwear, festival and edgy amongst others. Three pieces were nominated in each category and we had the opportunity to vote for our favorite pieces before. So it was really interested to see who actually won. After this it was time for the after show party with a buffet, drinks and a DJ. A highlight of the evening was definitely that I had the chance to meet one of my favorite german bloggers (Laura from Designdschungel) in person (last picture).
All in all the event was really amazing and I had so much fun. Let me know if you want to read more about the Events I go to. And definitely tell me if you also were at the HashMAG Blogger Look of the Year Award. Continue reading →
